America Anthems

America is more than soil and sky,
More than the banners passing by.
It is a promise, fierce and bright,
That every life may claim its light.

It was not finished at its birth;
No nation ever proves its worth
By saying all its work is done.
The promise lives when work goes on.

Freedom is not a gift kept still;
It asks for courage, voice, and will.
It breathes whenever people stand
And shape tomorrow with their hands.

Here argument can fill the square,
Because a free mind must breathe air.
The strongest country does not fear
A question spoken sharp and clear.

From farms awake before the Sun
To city lights when day is done,
A million different lives compose
The restless music freedom knows.

Some crossed an ocean toward a name
They had not seen, but chose the flame.
Some built their future where they stood
And made the common dream their good.

The builders looked beyond the known
And made the frontier feel like home.
From rail and rocket, chip and code,
They widened every human road.

When danger called, some left their doors
To guard the peace beyond our shores.
We do not praise the wound or grave;
We honor what they chose to save.

The country carries scars and blame;
No honest love denies the same.
A patriot can face what failed
And mend the promise once derailed.

Our leaders rise, our leaders leave,
But freedom is what people weave.
No office owns the nation's soul;
The governed hold the greater role.

This age has opened one more door:
A mind of code, a world unsure.
Let America lead the race
With human freedom at its base.

An anthem cannot make us one
By hiding all that must be done.
But music lets a people hear
The hope that drew them forward here.

So let the drums and voices rise
Like fireworks across the skies.
Not claiming we have reached the end,
But swearing we will build again.

America, unfinished song,
Made stronger when we right the wrong.
A dream no single age can own—
We keep it free by carrying it on.
